David Feuerbach is a 4th year undergraduate student at the University of Denver studying International Studies and Spanish. While studying abroad in Mendoza, Argentina, during the fall of 2015, David developed a passion for learning languages and experiencing other cultures. This experience pushed him to spend this past summer in Mexico and Guatemala working for a nonprofit organization, Natik, that focuses on economic and education development in indigenous communities.
He became involved with the DU Just Wages Project because he saw it as an opportunity to continue to pursue this passion and to learn more about the topic of immigration within our own community. Denver has a large immigrant population, but, unfortunately, it is a community that is often pushed to the margins of society. Working with this project has been an amazing learning experience and has been eye opening to the injustice and discrimination that many of these individuals face on a daily basis.
