Meet the Just Wages Project Researchers: Daniel Olmos

Version 2Daniel Olmos is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Interdisciplinary Research Incubator for the Study of In/Equality (IRISE), housed in the Latin America Center of the Josef Korbel School of International Studies. Daniel received his PhD in sociology at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and studies the relationship between labor precarity, migration, and globalized cities.

As part of the DU Just Wages Project, Daniel examines the socio-legal and economic conditions that give rise to wage theft, and the narrative/discursive processes that ‘wage theft’ as a frame produces in the live experiences of migrant day laborers.
